  • Study the vocabulary words given on pages 97-98 and on pages 105-106.

  • Add the following verbs to your vocabulary:

    κτίζω, create . 1st aor. ἔκτισα; pf. pass. ἔκτισμαι; 1st aor. pass. ἐκτίσθην
    ἐκλείπω, fail, die out. fut. ἐκλείψω; 2nd aor ἐξέλιπον

  • Add the following nouns to your vocabulary:

  • Parse the specified form of each of the following 3rd declension nouns. First look at the nominative singular form and the genitive singular ending. Then consult the paradigms in chapters 13 and 14 and find the one in which the nominative and genitive singular endings correspond to those of the word you are parsing. Then using that paradigm, parse the word in question, identifying its gender, case, and number in that order.

    Example
    ἔθνος, -ους, τό, nation. Parse ἔθνους
    (both nom. and gen. singular correspond to the nom. and gen. singular endings in the paradigm of μέρος, p. 107) neuter, genitive, singular
